STORY
Iezel is the sole God of the monotheistic religion Ziesanism, which is the world’s majority religion. Worshiped by both humans and erids alike, Iezel is seen as a bringer of justice, Sun and Moon, forgiver of sins, and creator of the universe. The most famous account of his appearance tells the story of his brief time among the people, where he healed the sick, assisted the poor and disabled, taught everyone to take care of one another through the teachings of sacred text, and gifted them with fertile lands. He is the harbinger of an army of angelic soldiers, which were sent to slay the first incarnation of the Evil Spirit, and are prophesied to return when the Evil Spirit releases its own army out of Hell. Multiple denominations have split off with their own interpretations of Iezel’s teachings, such as the Dukend branch, which believes humans are the sole creation of Iezel, and by default are saved from punishment, while erids are demons of the Evil Spirit destined to eternal suffering. Alternatively, the Manithan branch emphasizes the role of erids and humans, and that both can be venerated as scions.
PERSONALITY
There are very few written accounts of Iezel, most of which tell stories of the miracles he performed while in physical form during his time among the humans and erids. Many describe him as a beacon of light, radiating rays of warmth, and anyone who got within mere inches of his presence would break down in tears. Other accounts also described him as having the demeanor of a parent, and would scold yet comfort exactly like one. In later years, people would come to form their own opinions on what they believe he might think, some filled with hatred and some filled acceptance.
